Pinjarra Again for Knockout.
May 1, 2011
We have elected to start 4 yo mare Prime Knockout again on Wednesday at Pinjarra Park. She has drawn barrier 4 in the 57 to 68 rating handicap over her favourite 1,200 metre trip and if she runs up to her form she will be hard to beat. There appears to be some natural speed in the race which would suit her normal pattern of racing. Knockout has done a treat since her last start win and we see no reason for her not to win again.
Our 2 yearlings Colts by Holy Roman Emperor/Maralda and Dylan Thomas/Rebourne are coming along nicely. Both went to Larkhill track and cantered around beautifully. They are exciting prospects for the stable.
Both Ebony Buzz and Don't Give A Star are working along nicely and their work will step up soon, as they work towards a return to racing. Both these horses returned from a spell in magnificent condition and we are looking forward to their return to the racetrack.

Around the stable
Apr 30, 2011
Although not adding to our winners tally this week, we certainly maintained our healthy place average when both Mayneda Strategy and Whitbread Lass finished third.
Mayneda fronted at Caulfield last Saturday for her first run in exactly one month, reiterating her place as a Saturday class mare when she held on defiantly to finish third. Another honest run under her belt, Trent will now step her up in distance a little and test her over 1800m. At Cranbourne on Wednesday, Whitbread Lass was beaten by under 1L by in form filly Seeking Chi. Whitbread looked the winner on the turn but her last 200m suggested that she was looking for more ground - and more ground she shall have as Brian steps her up to 2000m next start.
Whitbread Lass is by Fastnet Rock. With the Peter Moody trained first start 2YO winner Highly Recommended at Flemington last Sunday as well as a NZ Stakes winner Fast Love to add to his tally just last weekend, Fastnet Rock is certainly one to watch. We have only one share remaining in our Yearling Fastnet Rock x So Funny Filly who looks like she will be an early 2YO runner (pictured). Have a look on our `Horse Shares’ page for more information.
We are looking forward to another Saturday runner at Caulfield tomorrow as Influential Miss goes around in Race 2. There are a number of small fields tomorrow and as one of only 8 with Steven King on board, she is sure to be in the mix despite having four weeks between runs. We also have another of Pat Carey’s charges running for us, this time at Seymour. Mining Magnate is first up this preparation, coming off a short but very sweet preparation that yielded two wins. Good luck to all owners tomorrow. More
