Racing Victoria Limited (RVL) is proud to host the 2009 Thoroughbred Employee of the Year Awards.

Nominations for these awards open on Friday 4 December 2009 and we urge all employers, owners and breeders to nominate staff who have made an exceptional contribution to the running of their business. As you're aware, stable employees are the backbone of the industry and these awards provide a valuable opportunity to recognise leading thoroughbred employees' hard work, skill and dedication.

Please download this form attached which has the details of how to nominate. Follow the guidelines and remember your nomination must be received at RVL by the closing date of Wednesday 20 January 2010. All stable employees can be nominated for one of the awards listed on the nomination form and the winner in each category will receive a framed certificate and a cheque for $500. There will also be an overall winner decided from the 5 finalists, who will be named the 2009 Thoroughbred Employee of the Year and receive an additional cheque for $1,000.

The finalists will be chosen by a panel of judges which will consist of representatives from RVL and the Thoroughbred racing community.

The award winners will be announced at the Moonee Valley Night Cup in the Celebrity Room from 7pm - 7.30pm on Friday night 26 February 2010.

Once again Moonee Valley Racing Club has been generous in its support of the event and will provide complimentary ticketing to all registered stable employees to attend the races and presentation ceremony.
